So what if I already have dozens of posts devoted to my cat?  She deserves her own page!

This is Squeaky, aka the Squeakster, Squeaky McSqueakerton, Kitty!, and Grunty.

She is also fondly called my little elephant, because she can exert a lot of force when she’s kneeding your chest.

She’s also the couch cat…

…and the sofa sphynx.

I found  the Squeakster on December 6, 2008, at the Saint Paul Humane Society.  I had just finished digging a cat out from underneath the bank of cages.  That cat really didn’t like me.  As soon as I saw “Mitze’s” little face with the sign “I’m a cuddler,” I knew Allah (swt) had meant for us to be together.

I  put a hold on her and planned to bring the husband back the next day.  Alas, when we awoke, we were in the midst of a blizzard.

Alhamdulilah, after a lot of pestering and some major dua, I convinced the husband that we could drive very very slowly and get the kitty.

We brought her home that very day, and she made herself right at home.

Our couch is right next to the door.  In this picture, she’s right up next to the door, glaring at me as I leave for work.

Also right next to the door as I leave, asking me wouldn’t I rather stay home and snuggle with her all day?

My sprawl kitty.  Cats stereotypicall curl up to sleep.  Not Squeaky.  Squeaky sprawls.

Alhamdulilah for my kitty
